Bendi

She models often and has been in many paintings, but until now you have never seen her face...

I can assure you that this is not at all something out of a horror movie, and that the artist does not hate women at all!

This is a mannequin that we use to stand in for a model when we are trying to paint clothes after the sitter has left. Her name is Bendi (because she is bendable) and some people in class decided she looked very sad without a face (so they made a face for her with tape). Toby painted her for fun, and we are all actually quite fond of her. She is a sort of studio mascot.

So I assure you that this is not any sort of expression of hatred for women, but rather a (perhaps eccentric) expression of fondness for a lowly mannequin that shares our studio space.

At least Tom appreciated the Bendi "portrait".
